    Hey Anthony,

Excellent video! It was a very interesting presentation and you held my attention the whole time. I like the fact that you are speaking from personal experience too, that makes all the difference in the world verses someone who “just read the book about it”. I look forward to your next one.

      Thanks, “Oz”!

Yes, It is said that “good judgement comes from experience”, and “experience comes from bad judgement” :-) . I was very glad to share some of my ‘experiences’ in this video, as well as share some other good experiences like the Wood Whisperer and the time with my Billiards Blog that gave me such a hands-on education.

My biggest lesson is that it’s not difficult to make a website work in terms of finding your niche and getting scores of followers, but it does require work. That’s another large lesson I’ve learned here at the Dojo!

I’d meant to share another parable in the video about the bamboo tree but ran out of time – you can plant a bamboo seed, and water it, and water it, and water it, … and nothing seems to be happening… In the background, however (or in this case, underground) an endure root network is forming, and when the time is right, the bamboo shoots up out of the ground 20-feet tall in an insanely short period of time… that’s how I’ve felt the WordPress Dojo project has developed… For a year I’ve been planning, designing, brainstorming, and learning about all the components of making the site work, and BAM – the time was right and everything started to sprout!

Hopefully, people who follow in my footsteps won’t have to wait a year – if I can help compress time to our members by giving them the knowledge they need, membership in the Dojo will pay for itself forty times over – as I described in my video with similar products.

      -Anthony
